The Rohingya Crisis -Muhammad Abdul Bari (Review)

The book is researched, documented essay on the Rohingya Crisis that is reaching epic proportions in these times. That this book is a essay is the strength and also a weakness. This short book brings to highlight the origin, rise and then fall of the ethnic group known as Rohingyas, their systematic ethnic cleansing, the political moves to even erase their identity
The book also brings to highlight the lack of any serious attempt by the international community to put pressure on the Myanmar government to put a stop to this genocide especially by those in power to do so. Only some lone voices are bringing to light this issue lone but powerful voices.
Though this is a very good attempt at the issue, the essay type of writing lacks the punch that hits straight in the eye.
I received this book as part of the review program through @BookTasters
